Another crowd pleaser for our Mummy (or daddy!) & Me classes – this sunning Mermaid Cake. You can your child will ice together your own cake in a swirly sea style and adorn with an array of hand made decorations. ‘Mummy & Me’ classes are a great way to break up the holidays with an activity you can BOTH enjoy!

Kids go crazy for anything with mermaids and let’s be honest you do too right? Everything you need for the class is provided including a box and a bag to take your cake home in.

Adults will start by helping children to ice the first layers of their cake, after which you will both craft an array of beautiful mermaid and sea creature themed decorations. You will then finish your cake with lovely swirly sea inspired icing and of course the decorations you have made – plus sprinkles and glitter! (The number of places below are for you to both come together – so if 1 place is visible booking this will secure you a place for ONE adult and ONE child to come and make one cake together.)

• Cake & icing recipe sheets to take home
• Colouring icings
• Icing a cake with buttercream techniques
• Making a range of mermaid and under the sea themed decorations
• Adorning your decorations with shimmering effects
• Finishing touches – sprinkle and sparkle!

Skill & Age Level
Children can only attend this class when accompanied by an adult and the attendee ratio must be one adult to every child. Because you and your child will work on a cake together, we are happy to welcome well behaved children of primary school age. The amount of help you need to give your child will depend on their age and is of course down to your own discretion. Your tutor will demonstrate everything on a step by step basis to make it easy and fun for everyone!

Course Location
This course is held at our professional bakery and cake decorating shop in Chelmsford in Essex. Car parking is available very nearby if you are driving, otherwise Chelmsford is just a 30 minute train ride from London Liverpool Street station if you decide to travel by train, and our shop is just a few minutes walk from the station.

Course Times
AM session 10am to 12:30pm
PM session 1:30pm to 4:00pm

Course Prices
This course costs £60 which is the price for one adult (over 18) and one child (under 11) producing your cupcakes together. If you want to bring multiple children each one must attend the course with another adult, so choose a friend or relative to come too! Children over 11 are welcome on selected other cake classes, please ask us for more info.

**When booking for an adult and child, please book ONE space only and we will automatically add the child space when we receive your booking. Only book two spaces if you intend to bring two adults and two children, three spaces for three adults and three children and so on. When booking please enter the name of the adult attendee in the registration form, we will take the childrens names on the day of the class for their certificates.**

What’s Included?
The course price includes all ingredients, materials, recipe and icing handouts to take home, use of all necessary sugarcraft tools, equipment, unlimited soft drinks and of course your cake all boxed up to take home. We also provide a complimentary snack for the children and drinks for both of you.
